Turkey Life on the Farm
Scotch Line turkeys are fed a plant-based diet made from corn, soy, and wheat. To support healthy digestion and nutrient absorption, a probiotic is included in their feed, helping our birds grow strong without the use of antibiotics or artificial additives.
Our turkeys live in open, temperature-controlled barns lined with fresh wood shavings that are regularly replenished for cleanliness and comfort.
Computer-controlled ventilation ensures a steady flow of fresh air, while propane heaters keep the barns warm in colder months.
Our barns also now feature a solar wall that preheats incoming air using renewable energy, an exciting step in reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.
The farm setup protects birds from extreme weather, predators, and disease while allowing them to thrive in a healthy, low-stress environment.
